New Lost City Ramblers Giveaway

Smithsonian Folkways has been kind enough to offer a free copy of the recent New Lost City Ramblers 3-CD retrospective, 50 Years: Where Do You Come from, Where Do You Go? to one of my lucky listeners.

To enter to win, simply create a new post on any topic of your choosing on the Sugar in the Gourd Forum. (Please try to post a somewhat relevant comment or question not just "this is my entry.") A winner will be chosen at random from among all users who post a new topic at the forum between now and October 31, 2009.

Thanks, and good luck!

John

Mourned the passing of Mike Seeger a few weeks ago - God bless him- he performed at the Seattle Folklore Society a few months prior to his passing. But we still have Dirk Powell, Dan Gellert, Brad Leftwich, Bruce Molsky,
Reed Martin and so many others carrying on. This music will never be lost thanks to their appreciation, talent, and love.

Well, I'd like to say, three cheers to John Salmon, for running Sugar in the Gourd. What a fantastic website. I tell all my friends about it. Hope they're listening.

Well, shucks, Martha. You made me blush. Thank you.

And Bruce: Amen.

Always enjoy listening to Sugar in the Gourd. Every Sunday morning we get up, and the first thing we do is go to Sugar in the Gourd. Love the variety of selections, we have discovered new artists, and bought their CD's because of Sugar in the Gourd. Thanks for keeping it going. Ed from Champaign, IL
